about

2009 release by MX-80 and French Radio guitarist and legend Bruce Anderson. One single track clocking in at 40min 28sec of utter...well... beauty. Multi-tracked archtop guitars layered by Bruce into a meditation or a dream state, individual notes coming into play like a rain shower but never turning to a torrent. Fantastically composed, eloquently played, and more than rewarding from repeated listens, this is a perfect companion piece for Bruce's 3" releases "Bresson" and "No Visible Scars". Low volume listening provides a calm background of tonal haze, or turn up as much as you wish to drown in a sea of bliss. Highly, highly recommended stuff from one of the great guitarists of our time.

Self-released in 2009 in a cardboard sleeve, Bruce has supplied us with a limited number of copies for distribution. Full length at over 40min, this is a single track, professionally manufactured CD. This item has no catalog number. All sales go directly to Bruce his very self.

about

petit mal music (label) Oakland, California

This site is to document the evolution of "band" to "label", as I had for 15 years performed and recorded solo material under the "petit mal" moniker. In 2008, a series of 3" cds was begun to release my own and related material. Since then, the relations are expanding and I've dropped the solo moniker in favor of my own name. This is now a home for unreleased live recordings, archives and 3" cds. ... more
