Solo disc recorded partially in New Orleans (95-97) and SF Bay area (98-01), and assembled at Studio Amduscias North. Petit Mal is the moniker from my solo recordings and performances from 1993-2011. This remains the most complete "studio" recording I have done, painfully and painstakingly put together with minidisc, reel-to-reel tube amp deck, cassette 4-track, and a few other ignoble devices. Instrumentation included bass, acoustic guitar, another really trashed bass, balalaika, violin, shortwave radio, tape loops, a small array of semi-functional effects pedals, field recordings, feedback, and of course the infamous bike wheel, which was bowed, scraped and thrown about lovingly. This is also quite possibly the most "musical" group of solo recordings I have done.

Professionally pressed in an edition of way too many, I am now finally making this available here, where in the past it has been available mostly in shops along the West Coast, and at live performances. Cover art and layout by Michele Jones, cover model Cherie Karson. All other images interior and disc by Jim Kaiser. Released on the dearly departed Zenflesh label, catalog # zenflesh six. Financed mostly from the settlement resulting from a car/bike collision in 2001, which fractured my wrist and left a small scar above an eyebrow and another on my chin. Sincere thanks still extended to Destin LeBlanc (Zenflesh), Michele and Cherie.
